Taking advantage of a diffuse medium for high resolution imaging using two antennas
Abstract
This paper presents a novel imaging method in the microwave range using a random medium. A comparison between three setup configurations is depicted to show the efficacy for radar cross section measurements in an anechoic chamber. By taking advantage of the spectral degrees of freedom provided by the propagation within a multiple scattering medium consisting of a collections of metallic rods and the higher Q-factor provided by a waveguide cavity we image a device under test with only two antennas but a fine resolution. A time reversal method and a matrix inversion method are studied. © 2016 IEEE.
