Internally loaded endfire superdirective array for wideband performance
Abstract
This paper presents the design of a compact broadband superdirective endfire array. The unit element of the array is a compact wideband antenna, loaded internally by inductive loads. By forming an array of wideband elements, a wideband behaviour can be achieved in terms of matching as well as directivity. The antenna design and load optimization was done using the network characteristic modes theory.
