Improved microwave absorption of pyramidal absorber using metamaterial
Abstract
We proposed and demonstrated a scheme to enhance and tune absorption properties of conventional microwave absorbing materials by metamaterials. First, an interleaved metamaterial array operating at several frequencies is proposed. Then, the artificial material is placed on the back of a pyramidal absorber. At last, both the simulated and measured results show that the proposed metamaterial enhances the performance of the pyramidal absorber. © 2016 European Association of Antennas and Propagation.
