Editorial Comment from Dr Peyronnet and Dr Bensalah to Early unclamping might reduce the risk of renal artery pseudoaneurysm after robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy
Abstract
In this issue of International Journal of Urology, Kondo et al. report a series of 96 robotic partial nephrectomies (PN) carried out with either conventional unclamping or early unclamping (EU) of the renal pedicle.[1] Their main finding is that EU is associated with a decreased rate of pseudoaneurysm (PA). Their study raises several interesting issues that we would like to comment on.
