Abstract

The asymmetric redox-active ligand 4,5-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-1,2-catechol ( N,O LH 4 ) is synthesized and metalated to afford the S = 12 semiquinoid radical-bridged wheel complex [Mn II 6 ( N,O L 3− ˙) 6 ] 6− .
