La modélisation numérique et l'ingénierie de l'environnement
Abstract
In order to show the applications of process modeling and simulation in the field of environmental engineering, two examples are proposed. The first one presents the adsorption of trace micropollutants in water to produce drinking water on activated carbon fiber cloth. With these models it is possible to approach the rates of elimination and the adsorption capacities of these compounds on these porous media. The second example relates the absorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by organic solutions scrubbing for the removal of hydrophobic compounds. The mass transfer models allow determining the design and the performance of the processes.
