Toward chiral conductors: combining halogen bonding ability and chirality within a single tetrathiafulvalene molecule
Résumé
Chirality and halogen bonding ability are combined in a single tetrathiafulvalene molecule (1) with iodo and dimethyl(propylenedithio) substituents, with II interactions developing along a 21 screw axis. The chiral mixed-valence conducting salt (1)2Cl exhibits a strongly 1D electronic structure.
