Our approach relies entirelyon the predictive power of density functional theory, in combination with a careful choice of the exchange-correlation functional and the account of van der Waals interactions. Glassy GGT can be viewed as apredominantly tetrahedral network, both with respect to Ge and Ga atoms. Te atoms are mostly twofoldcoordinated to all combinations of pairs of Ge, Ga or Te atoms. We find little evidence of intermediate rangeorder in the partial structure factors. %G English %2 https://univ-rennes.hal.science/hal-01861419/document %2 https://univ-rennes.hal.science/hal-01861419/file/Chaker_First-principles%20study%20of%20the%20atomic%20%281%29.pdf %L hal-01861419 %U https://univ-rennes.hal.science/hal-01861419 %~ UNIV-RENNES1 %~ CNRS %~ INSA-RENNES %~ ENSC-RENNES %~ UNIV-STRASBG %~ ISCR %~ ISCR-CTI %~ STATS-UR1 %~ UR1-SPM %~ INC-CNRS %~ UR1-UFR-SPM %~ UR1-HAL %~ UR1-SDLM %~ TEST-UR-CSS %~ SITE-ALSACE %~ UNIV-RENNES %~ INSA-GROUPE %~ ANR %~ UR1-MMS %~ TEST2-HALCNRS
