Guidelines for design of online resources for inquiry-based science teaching

Résumé

These guidelines constitute the deliverable 5.2 of the Mind the Gap project. This deliverable is strongly connected with deliverable 5.1 (literature review about ICT and IBST): we drew on the results of the literature review to build criteria for the analysis of on line resources. These criteria and their use to analyse some examples of on line resources for IBST ground the guidelines for design presented in this report. The report is organised in four parts. We expose in part 1 the overall organisation of the criteria, the way we built them from the results of the literature review, and the reasons for our focus on on line resources. In part 2, we detail the criteria, distinguishing between on line resources for teachers and for students. We also propose a special focus on collective dimensions. We illustrate this presentation with examples of analyses of some on line resources. In part 3, we draw on the criteria and analyses to identify guidelines ; we present in part 4 a synthesis of these guidelines.
