Rician channels in RC: statistical uncertainty of K estimations versus K fluctuations due to unstirred paths

Résumé

K parameter indicates the severity of small-scale fading on the signal reception. In this paper, a statistical analysis of K estimation is done. We identify three main criteria on which we evaluate the quality of multiple estimators. Based on this analysis and depending on the kind of data we dispose we define a useful interval for each estimator of K-factor. The second part of this work studies the fluctuations of K with frequency and causes are identified.
