Square-lattice hybrid organic–inorganic conducting layers in the s phase of a TTF tertiary amide derivative

Résumé

Electrocrystallisation of a TTF tertiary amide derivative, that is EDT-TTF-CONMe2, affords a stoichiometric 1 : 1 salt with AuBr2, t-(EDT-TTF-CONMe2)(AuBr2)(TCE)0.5, characterisedby a hybrid organic–inorganic layer, with AuBr2 anions interspersed between perpendicular cation radicals. This original structure avoids the strong dimerisation gap usually observed in 1 : 1 salts and allows for a strong two-dimensional band dispersion and the absence of gap. The semi conducting behaviour with a high sRT value (0.025 S cm1) indicates a Mott–Hubbard behaviour.
