Proton NMR Study of Low-Spin meso-Unsubstituted bêta-Substituted Alkyl Iron Porphyrins: Remarkable Influence of Peripheral Substitution on Spin Density

Résumé

Paramagnetic NMR spectroscopy was used to characterize the influence of small alkyl groups on the spin density of a series of high-spin and low-spin iron(III) porphyrins. Assignment of the resonances was obtained by using a variety of NMR techniques including heteronuclear multiple bond correlation and saturation transfer experiments. (© Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
